BBC Sales Co. announced Tuesday that it has licensed 50 hours of lifestyle
programming to Home & Garden Television.
A total of 56 half-hour episodes of Bargain Hunt, an antique-based
game show, will begin running on HGTV Saturday, April 7. In addition, 18
half-hours of Home Front, a home-decorating show, will bow on the network
April 14. HGTV will also repeat 26 episodes that first aired starting in fall
1996.
'HGTV is a perfect platform for both Bargain Hunt and Home
Front,' BBC Sales chief operating officer Candace Carlisle said in a
prepared statement, noting, 'Home Front already has been a success' for
the network.
BBC Sales is a joint venture of BBC Worldwide Americas and Discovery
Communications Inc.
