Animal Planet has renewed River Monsters, the network’s best-performing series for six consecutive seasons, for a seventh season. The series, which features biologist and angler Jeremy Wade investigating various fresh water predatory creatures, is expected to return in 2015 with new episodes.
During his announcement from an undisclosed location in Asia, Wade also indicated he has a cameo in the network's upcoming Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys.
The current season of River Monsters will conclude on Monday, May 26, when the episode “Body Snatcher” airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
