Sometimes-controversial media analyst Richard Greenfield has left independent research firm Fulcrum Global Partners LLC, but he expects to be back in the media game shortly.
Fulcrum agreed to sell its research department to Soleil Securities Group Inc. In an e-mail to clients Friday, Greenfield said he voluntarily decided not to make the move.
“I have been pursuing several opportunities within the media sector and plan to resurface within the next few weeks,” Greenfield said in the e-mail, noting that his last day at Fulcrum was Friday.
Greenfield joined Fulcrum in 2003 after an eight-year stint as media analyst for The Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
