Telecommunications-equipment vendor Alcatel established formal partnerships with four test and measurement vendors -- Agilent Technologies, IneoQuest,JDSU and Spirent Communications -- to provide testing of its systems for delivering IPTV services, the company announced last week.
"For the new breed of IP-based service offerings to fulfill their potential to consumers and enterprises alike, it is critical that operators have the ability to test and measure the video service across all segments of their network at the most granular level," said Monika Maurer, president of Alcatel's fixed-solutions unit, in a prepared statement.
