Adlink, the Los Angeles interconnect, announced Monday night that it has
formally renamed its sports ad-sales division SportsLink L.A.
When Nick Viserto was hired in January as the new unit's vice president of
sales and marketing, the division was called Adlink Sports.
Adlink -- which began making sports-only sales presentations in May to ad
agencies and clients in New York and Los Angeles -- also said Viserto has made
two hires for the new division: Dave Matthews and Keith Green, both directors of
national accounts. Matthews formerly was VP of sales at WorldLink Inc. and Green
was an account executive at The Weather Channel.
Adlink's 44 insertable cable networks offer 1,750-plus live sporting events
annually, Viserto estimated.
