Adler Joins MediaLink

Former Time Warner Inc. communications chief Edward Adler has been named Senior Partner at MediaLink LLC, a media advisory firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles.
According to MediaLink, Adler will build a strategic communications practice within MediaLink, offering his expertise in corporate communications, media relations, investor relations, crisis management, event management and corporate marketing.
Adler started his career at Time Warner while still in college, working as a reporter for Time magazine, a programming executive at Home Box Office and a news editor in Time Inc.'s magazine development area before moving to corporate communications for the company. Adler served as vice president of corporate communications in 1997, was promoted to senior vice president in 2000. He became executive vice president of corporate communications in 2004 and announced his intention to retire in February.
"Strategic communications is an increasingly critical practice area for marketers, particularly in social networks and other emerging earned-media channels," MediaLink president and chief operating officer Wenda Harris Millard said in a prepared statement. "Ed's hands-on experience in helping Time Warner navigate these and other challenges in the digital ecosystem makes him a perfect fit for us as we help clients succeed and prosper in the changing world of media, entertainment and digital technology."
MediaLink is headed by chairman and CEO Michael Kassan, and its client roster includes global brands such as Microsoft, AT&T, Unilever, News Corp., Comcast, The Walt Disney Co., Viacom and CBS.
"Michael has built a firm that is universally respected by top media, entertainment and tech companies and their important constituencies," Adler said in a statement. "I'm excited to be a part of it."
