Acterna LLC has launched a new operational-support-services unit within its
cable-networks division and named John Hart vice president of the group.
Hart had been serving as vice president of marketing and product management
at Alopa Networks Inc.
In his new post, Hart is charged with designing, developing and delivering
OSS systems for cable operators.
Acterna, which provides test equipment for broadband-service providers, plans
to introduce the 'Vision360' OSS platform for cable operators later this
year.
The company said the platform will automate and integrate network-management
systems in an effort to reduce costs, avoid mistakes and increase customer
satisfaction.
