AccuWeather Forecasts CNBC Deal

CNBC has chosen AccuWeather Inc. as its primary weather provider, officials
said Monday.

As part of their agreement, AccuWeather will produce and distribute eight
live weather forecasts to CNBC each day, which will feature AccuWeather senior
meteorologist and senior vice president Joe Sobel.

CNBC’s former meteorologist, Joe Witte, left the network several months ago
to join the ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C., a CNBC spokeswoman said.

The main focus of the AccuWeather broadcasts will be daily weather forecasts
for business travelers. In addition to the eight live CNBC broadcasts,
AccuWeather will provide a national forecast every morning for NBC’s Early
Today
program.

AccuWeather has been providing "live hit" weather programming for CNBC since
1998. As part of the new partnership, CNBC will also have on-demand access to
all 90 AccuWeather meteorologists, as well as hurricane, winter storm and severe
weather experts for breaking weather news and information.
