ACC Digital Network Tunes In Amazon’s Fire TV

The ACC Digital Network has launched an app for the recently launched $99 Amazon Fire TV streaming and gaming box, as well as Amazon’s lineup of Kindle Fire tablets, new outlets that follow ACCDN's recent launch on the Apple TV.

The app, delivered in partnership with 1 Mainstream, a digital publishing firm that specializes in OTT distribution and counts BSkyB among its clients, provides access to “hundreds” of video highlights and unique sports programming tied to schools in the ACC.

The ACC Digital Network, launched in 2011, bills itself as the official digital distribution network of the Atlantic Coast Conference. In addition to game highlights, the service also provides daily conference news. This spring, the lineup will include in-depth Spring Football reports, a new series, ACC Baseball Weekly, and, in May, coverage of the ACC Baseball Championship Series.

“The ACC Digital Network continues to develop a national portfolio of digital distribution partners that allows fans to easily and successfully access ACC content from anywhere at any time,” said ACC Commissioner John Swofford, in a statement.

An addition to the Fire TV and Apple TV, ACCDN also supports Roku devices and delivers content on the Web at www.theacc.com.
