ABC Family canceled plans for an upfront party and separate press conference
next week.
The network had slated a press breakfast in New York Tuesday, with a
gathering for advertisers scheduled for that night.
But Angela Shapiro -- whom The Walt Disney Co. installed as ABC Family's new
president just a few weeks ago -- pulled the plug on those events. Instead,
Shapiro will meet with ad agencies individually throughout April and May, an ABC
Family spokeswoman said.
