ABC Family Adds Knock First Episodes

ABC Family has ordered 25 new episodes of its tween-targeted daily afternoon series, Knock First
.

ABC Family will now air 55 episodes of the popular teen makeover reality series, which has helped the network to boost ratings during its 5:30 p.m. time slot by 233% (1.0 vs. 0.3) since its launch Oct. 6, according to network executives.

The network also hit ratings paydirt with the Oct. 19 premiere of Beautiful Girl
, which garnered the highest rating of any ABC Family original movie this year. The film, starring Fran Drescher (The Nanny
), posted a 2.7 household rating, beating out the 2.2 mark set by the June debut of This Time Around
.

The movie also ranked first among all basic-cable networks during the 8 p.m.-10 p.m. time period with adults 18-34 (1.7 rating/834,000 households), women 18-34 (2.4/591,000), adults 18-49 (1.7/1.708 million), women 18-49 (2.4/1.244 million) and female teens 12-17 (5.9/551,000), the network said.
