HBO: More Pilots in Development

During this afternoon’s HBO executive session at TCA, Michael Lombardo (HBO’s president, programming group and west coast operations) gave television critics a peek into the network’s possible future.  Lombardo revealed that today the network had greenlit three additional pilots:

David Simon and Eric Overmeyer have written a script called "Treme," dealing with post-Katrina New Orleans.  The shooting date was not announced.

The network has also greenlit a half-hour comedy pilot called The Washingtonian, based on a Jessica Cutler book.  Sarah Jessica Parker is executive-producing.

Terry Winter, a Sopranos executive producer, has written a one-hour drama about

1920s Atlantic City.  Winter is executive-producing with Martin Scorsese.  Shooting begins in

January.
