Comcast Continues to Bulk Up on SVOD

Comcast’s SVOD universe has expanded with the launch of Kidstream, a service focused on children’s television series such as Science Max! and Louie that sells for $4.99 per month.
Comcast is providing access to Kidstream, a service from Brandvida, on the set-top box (via its Xfinity On Demand platform, and not delivered over-the-top) as well as via Xfinity Stream, its authenticated platform for Web browsers and iOS and Android mobile devices.

"Kidstream provides parents and kids with a new entertainment choice outside of the "big box" networks," said Dean Koocher, co-founder of Kidstream.
Kidstream joins a broadening subscription VOD offering from Comcast that also includes DogTV, Gaia, History Vault, Anime Network, and Eros Now, Bollywood-focused service. Comcast is also starting to integrate OTT video services on its X1 set-top platform. Netflix is already integrated, with YouTube and Sling TV on deck.
