Counsel fires back after Microsoft petition to reverse distributed transmission systems decision
Said it won't leave those channels open for wireless mics or white space device use
Broadcasters have scored a victory in the debate with Microsoft over how the FCC should allow for more unlicensed broadband in the so-called white spaces between TV channels.
The FCC will vote at its October meeting to expand the use of the "white spaces" between TV channels for rural broadband, something Microsoft has been pushing and broadcasters have some issues with.
