YES Network is bringing the Golden Dome to its lineup.
The regional sports network, home to New York Yankees games, has reached a multiyear deal with the University of Notre Dame under which it will present Notre Dame Football Replay, encores presentations of Fighting Irish home games. In addition, YES will show Inside Notre Dame Football, the show featuring head football coach Charlie Weis, several times weekly during the season.
The season premiere of Notre Dame Football Replay on YES will kick off on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. (ET), with an encore presentation of the Nevada-Notre Dame season opener, from the day before. NBC Sports will initially telecast all eight Notre Dame home games live this season.
The first of the 13 Inside Notre Dame Football installments will debut Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. on the network.
In addition to airing within the RSN's traditional New York-area footprint, the Notre Dame programming will be included within YES's "national" feed, which is currently being offered by Verizon FiOS, Bright House Networks in Tampa and Orlando and Time Warner Cable in the Carolinas. That feed features an array of YES programming, excluding Yankees and New Jersey Nets National Basketball Association games.
Blue Ridge Communications has also signed a YES national deal, but won't launch the service until 2010.
