Convergys Corp. will license its “Infinys” software to WildBlue Communications Inc. and provide professional and consulting services to the satellite-broadband company under a deal announced Wednesday.
WildBlue said it will use Infinys’ applications for rating, billing, order management and inventory management to support its high-speed Internet service via Ka-band geosynchronous satellites.
Convergys will provide implementation, integration and custom-development services supporting the launch of WildBlue's new billing and customer-care applications, the companies added.
“Our relationship with WildBlue further strengthens Convergys' presence in the expanding satellite-services industry," said Bill Opet, president of Convergys' cable, broadband and wireline solutions group, in a prepared statement. "Infinys is able to lower the service provider's total cost of ownership and mitigate risks associated with launching new services.”
