The Weather Channel Cos. has tapped Karen Marderosian to head its advertising offiice in Detroit.
In her new role as vice president, regional manager, Marderosian will lead the Detroit sales office to achieve cross platform revenue objectives and develop and execute the company's Michigan/Ohio regional sales strategy.
Marderosian joins TWCC from Discovery Communications, where spent the past five years with responsibilities for sales in the Detroit region for Discovery, Science, Military Channel, Velocity and Investigation Discovery.
Prior to that, she spent eight years at Volkswagen, rising to director of marketing for brand Volkswagen in the U.S. and Canada. She also spent nine years at D'Arcy Worldwide. I
