Washington’s Turn for Comcast Jobs

Comcast is expanding its hiring spree throughout the West Coast.

Just one day after announcing that it will add 500 new jobs in its San Francisco Bay-area offices, the MSO said Tuesday that it will add 284 new jobs in its Washington offices “to keep pace with ever-growing demand for high-speed-Internet, cable-television and local-phone services.”

Comcast added that with these new jobs, it will have added 350 permanent, full-time positions in Washington in 2006, marking a 13% increase in its work force in the state year-over-year.

As in California, the operator said it expects to fill the positions within the next 90 days.
