Vonage Offers Wireless Upgrade

Vonage Holdings Corp. and Cisco Systems Inc.’s Linksys division are teaming up on a trade-in program.

Subscribers who sign up for Vonage's voice-over-Internet-protocol service can trade in their used routers for Linksys “Wireless-G Routers” with two phone jacks for broadband telephony (model “WRTP54G”) free-of-charge after rebates.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone who has been thinking of cutting the cord to get a great deal on Vonage and a free wireless router, as well," Vonage senior vice president of sales Matthew Deatrick said in a prepared statement.

Linksys VP of sales Glen McLaughlin added, “This promotion enables us to give back to customers by providing them with a means to capitalize on their original investment in a router by upgrading to newer Wireless-G technology and VoIP.”
