Music Choice will provide music content for the upcoming consumer pilot of Viseon Inc.’s VisiFone digital-home-telephone platform, the two companies announced Tuesday.
Viseon said its VisiFone Multimedia digital telephone for voice over Internet protocol can display fully interactive video and digital audio, in addition to being a digital telephone and videophone.
Music Choice will deliver nonstop audio-music channels including “R&B and Hip-Hop,” “Hit List,” “80s,” “90s,” “Country” and “Rock,” as well as “Music Choice News,” daily music news and gossip.
Viseon also has deals with programmers including ABC News, The Weather Channel Interactive, Court TV, Discovery Networks U.S., Fox News Channel, College Sports Television, AccuWeather and Expo TV.
“Participating in ViseonMedia's pilot program opens a new channel for consumers to access their favorite music,” Music Choice CEO David Del Beccaro said in a prepared statement. “VoIP presents a completely new opportunity to interact with a nationwide audience.”
