Verizon Communications Inc. announced two more programming deals for its Verizon FiOS TV service Thursday.
The regional Bell operating company reached an agreement with Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. to carry its TV Guide Channel and horse-racing channel TVG Network.
Verizon will also add HDNet and HDNet Movies to its FiOS TV lineup following a pact with that programmer.
Verizon FiOS TV launched in Keller, Texas, Sept. 22.
“TV Guide Channel will allow subscribers to easily find their favorite programs among the extensive channel options available on FiOS TV," Verizon FiOS TV vice president of programming and marketing Terry Denson said in a prepared statement.
“In addition, HDNet and HDNet Movies will bring a superior viewing experience, with live sports, movies and original programming broadcast entirely in high-definition,” he added.
