Verizon Communications Inc. said Wednesday that it has reached a carriage deal with MTV Networks and Black Entertainment Television for its Verizon FiOS TV service.
The regional Bell operating company said it will carry all of MTVN’s and BET’s channels, as well as recently announced HD network MHD.
MTVN’s video-on-demand content, digital-audio radio channels and online content from the MTV: Music Television and Nickelodeon brands -- including MTV.com's MTV Overdrive (www.mtv.com/overdrive) and Nick.com's TurboNick (www.nick.com/turbonick/index.jhtml) -- will also be included.
FiOS TV launched in Keller, Texas, Sept. 22, and the company formally filed for a statewide franchise in Texas last Friday.
