Verizon has named Kathleen Grillo to head up federal regulatory affairs in Washington, replaceing Susanne Guyer, who is retiring.
Grillo has been with Verizon since 2002, when she joined as legal counsel in the federal regulatory group. She was named a vice president in 2003.
"She is an effective leader and will be a strong and fair proponent for consumer-friendly policies in the regulatory sphere," said Tom Tauke, executive vice president, public affairs, policy and communications.
Guyer retires effective Aug. 31.
