U-verse Expands Universe Of Premium Asian Networks

AT&T added five Asian-language channels to its U-verse TV lineup, providing programming for Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese and Korean viewers.

The new international channels that are now available for U-verse TV customers include:

* ET News, a 24-hour Mandarin news channel featuring U.S., Asia and world news, and ET Global, a Mandarin entertainment channel. Each is available as part of the U-verse TV Mandarin Package (six channels for $35 a month) or a la carte for $10 a month;

* STAR India PLUS, a Hindi entertainment channel featuring dramas, Bollywood movies and more. Current customers of the South Asian Package (four channels for $35 a month) will receive the channel at no additional charge; the channel is also available a la carte for $12 a month;

* TVBV, a 24-hour Vietnamese-dubbed entertainment channel, available a la carte for $10 a month; and

* MBC America, a 24-hour Korean broadcast network featuring dramas, children's programs, documentaries and more, available a la carte for $13 a month.

U-verse TV offers several additional international subscription options, including Spanish, Filipino, Polish, Russian, French and Japanese programming.
