TWC News NY1 Wants Kids to Get Fit in February

Time Warner Cable News NY1 wants to help families get healthy in February.

The news service has launched "Fit Kids February," a month-long initiative featuring extensive health and fitness related coverage and reports. Throughout the network’s “News All Morning,” “News All Day,” and “News All Evening” programming, Fit Kids February will provide parents with information to help teach their children how to lead a healthy lifestyle using the latest fitness apps, healthy recipes, fun activities, and other valuable tips. 

The 24-hour news network is also featuring a 4-week "Fit Kids Challenge" to encourage families to make healthy lifestyle choices. Each week, TWC News NY1 will feature a different theme and a corresponding toolkit on www.twcfitkids.com, replete with expert tips. TWC News NY1 viewers can also submit their own 30-second “Fit Kids Video Tips” and secrets to staying healthy. The best “Fit Kids Video Tips” may appear on TWC News NY1 and www.twcnews.com.

Moreover, TWC Local On Demand will present a special “Watch, Get Fit & Win!” Sweepstakes. Viewers have a chance to watch health features and answer related questions to enter the sweepstakes running from Feb. 2 through March 2. One grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 healthy grocery shopping spree. Each first prize winner will receive four fitness trackers for their family.
