TWC Names Fujimoto SVP Brand Strategy And Marcomm, Replacing Freeman

Time Warner Cable hired Gregg Fujimoto, an advertising executive who spent two decades at McCann Erickson, as senior vice president of brand strategy and marketing communications for residential services. He replaces Marissa Freeman, who is no longer with the company.

Fujimoto will report to executive vice president and chief marketing officer Jeffrey Hirsch. At TWC, Fujimoto will help to define and create advertising and messaging, visual identity, and promotions and events, as well as lead general market and multicultural communications and media planning and buying, for all of the company's residential services business, the MSO said. He also will guide cross-channel planning and placement.

Freeman, who joined TWC in 2009 as senior VP of brand strategy and marketing communications from ad agency Deutsch, is no longer with the company, a spokeswoman for the cable operator confirmed. She is a member of Multichannel News' 2012 Wonder Women class.

Most recently, Fujimoto was an account director at MediaCom in New York City, and has worked for GFM Partners and Gotham. He joined McCann Erickson in 1990, eventually rising to the position of group managing director. Fujimoto has worked with clients including Charter Communications, AT&T, Dell, Chrysler, Intel and Major League Baseball.

"With his deep experience and keen focus on driving innovative solutions and tangible results, I believe Gregg is the right person to help me lead the marketing function at Time Warner Cable," Hirsch said in a statement. "I look forward to working with him to build on the work we began since I became the company's chief marketing officer last year."
