TVG Network said it now reaches 15.6 million subscribers following several carriage deals from the first and second quarters of this year.
The Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc.-owned horse-racing channel said that among its recent distribution pacts:
• Adelphia Communications Corp. expanded its distribution across both wagering and nonwagering states;
• Comcast Corp. added TVG to systems in Arlington/Alexandria and Richmond/Chesterfield, Va.; and
• Insight Communications Co. Inc. launched the service on its system in northern Kentucky.
“The expanded distribution, combined with the deployment of our [interactive-TV] application with [EchoStar Communications Corp.’s] Dish Network, are considerable milestones the network has achieved this year,” Gemstar-TV Guide executive vice president of affiliate sales and marketing Tonia O'Connor said in a prepared statement.
