TV One Renews ‘Hollywood Divas’

TV One has picked up its freshman reality series Hollywood Divas for a second season, then network said Thursday.

The series, which followed actresses Golden Brooks, Countess Vaughn, Lisa Wu, Paula Jai Parker and Elise Neal as they developed a short film, garnered 2 million viewers (live +7 Nielsen ratings) during premiere episodes for its freshman campaign, said network officials.

“The strong social media and viewer response to Hollywood Divas made renewing this insider’s look at Black Hollywood a no-brainer,” said D’Angela Proctor, senior vice president of programming and production for TV One. “The evolution that took place in the lives of these actresses over the course of the season has been remarkable, but there is so much more of their story left to share. We look forward highlighting what progress and new projects they have on the horizon when the series returns next year.”
