By MCN Staff published
SES Americom Inc. will continue to provide Turner Broadcasting System Inc. with satellite-distribution capacity for Cable News Network news and special-events programming under terms of a multiyear agreement announced Monday.
The satellite-services provider said its “AMC-3” and “AMC-5” spacecraft, along with their predecessors, have distributed on-location and breaking-news reports for CNN since 1994.
“Turner and CNN continue to inform and entertain growing audiences across the United States and around the world with cutting-edge content delivered around the clock," SES Americom president of media solutions Bryan McGuirk said in a prepared statement.
"The SES Americom distribution platform stands ready to deliver scheduled and unplanned programming anytime, anywhere,” he added. “We are truly honored to extend our relationship with the television-industry innovator, which is a milestone in our 30-year tradition of quality, reliable programming distribution.”
