TruTV Renews 'South Beach Tow' For Sophomore Campaign

TruTV has renewed South Beach Tow for a second season, ordering 13 additional episodes of the series to air in early 2012.

The series, produced by truTV, Nuyorican Productions and Bodega Productions, premiered its first season on July 20, drawing 1.6 million total viewers and 834,000 in the key persons 18-to- 49 demo. The season finale is slated to air Aug. 31, at 10 p.m.

South Beach Tow centers on the family-run Tremont Towing and its affable-but-tough manager, Robert Ashenoff. In part because he's a hard-working boss and many people in South Beach seem to think the law doesn't apply to them, Ashenoff has turned his company into a million-dollar business.

The reality series is executive-produced Nuyorican Productions' Jennifer Lopez and Simon Fields and Bodega Productions' Benjamin Nurick, Josh Ackerman and Zachary Werner. Jessica Shreeve serves as executive producer for truTV.
