Time Warner, FiOS Demand SiTV HD Fare

SiTV is making select high-definition programming available to the on-demand packages offered by Time Warner Cable and Verizon’s FiOS TV.

Officials at SiTV, which targets 18-to-34 bilingual and English-dominant Latinos, said Time Warner Cable will bow its Model Latina series on-demand in early August, while FiOS bowed the show, which tracks 10 Latinas as they try to become their own brands, last week. The telco, has also been offering Jammin 2, which looks at indie bands playing to the network’s preferred viewer base, since July 25.

Sí TV said it has been producing HD content since its inception in 2004 with more than 200 hours of enhanced original fare to date

“Sí TV not only provides cable and telco an opportunity to tap into the fastest-growing demographic in the U.S., but an audience with a proven track record for consuming HD channels,” said Sí TV CEO Michael Schwimmer in a statement. ”This is not only a great opportunity for Sí TV, but for our partners to add value to their HD VOD lineup.”
