CSTV Networks and VeriSign announced the launch of multiplatform initiative CSTV 2 Go.
The companies said the first phase of CSTV 2 Go encompasses mobile offerings including customized team news alerts on up to 15 men’s and women’s sports via short message service, as well as the opportunity to purchase custom ring tones and wallpapers for approximately 100 colleges and universities across the United States.
“With access to a large network of schools and college sports fans, CSTV is a progressive company, driving the three-screen experience for its users,” VeriSign senior vice president of digital-content services Jeff Treuhaft said in a prepared statement.
“College-sports fans want to show their pride wherever they are,” CSTV CEO Brian Bedol added. “VeriSign’s scalable and reliable infrastructure will allow CSTV to deliver new rich-media applications to these passionate consumers in real-time, nationwide and 24/7.”
