Stanley Upped to VP of Operations at Cox in Roanoke

Cox Communications named Kim Stanley as vice president of operations for its Roanoke, Va., operation, promoting her from VP of Cox Business in the market.

Stanley's responsibilities include day-to-day management of the Roanoke operation, strategic development of personnel, and financial performance and growth of the operation. She reports to Gary McCollum, Cox general manager and senior vice president, who now oversees both the Hampton Roads and Roanoke operations.

"With more than 20 years experience in the cable and telecommunications industry, Kim brings an array of excellent leadership skills to this position. We look forward to her contributions toward further strengthening the Cox operations in Roanoke," McCollum said in a release.

Stanley was VP of Cox Business in Roanoke. Before joining Cox, she was with Level 3 Communications and served as their VP of Partner Sales East, as well as their regional vice president of sales and operations. She also has held various leadership positions at KMC Telecom and MCI Communications.

Stanley currently serves on the New Virginia Corridor Technology Council, Roanoke County Prevention Council, Roanoke Business Council, as well as the Better Business Bureau and Virginia Cable and Telecommunications Boards.
