Space Systems/Loral will build the EchoStar XIV direct-broadcast satellite for EchoStar Communications’ EchoStar Orbital subsidiary under terms of a contract announced Wednesday.
“EchoStar XIV will provide expanded services and flexibility for Dish Network's more than 13 million direct-to-home television subscribers,” the company said in a prepared statement.
