Cox Communications Inc. will carry 24-hour preschool network and video-on-demand service PBS Kids Sprout under terms of a carriage agreement announced Monday.
Sprout already has carriage deals with operators including Comcast Corp., Insight Communications Co. Inc. and RCN Corp. The service was created as a partnership between Comcast and PBS.
“With trusted entertaining and educational brands such as Sesame Street, Barney & Friends and many others in the portfolio of programming, Cox is pleased to add PBS Kids Sprout to our linear and On Demand lineups for the young minds in Cox households," senior vice president of programming Bob Wilson said in a prepared statement.
