PBS Kids Sprout’s on-demand service will host the television premiere of upcoming direct-to-video flick A Sesame Street Christmas Carol.
The movie -- from Sony Wonder and Sprout part-owner Sesame Workshop -- will be shown exclusively on Sprout On Demand Nov. 17-23, “and then we’ll stunt it in December” on the 24-hour cable channel, Sprout president and general manager Sandy Wax said.
The DVD release date is Nov. 14, and the DVD product description said Oscar the Grouch is visited by three ghosts, a la Ebenezer Scrooge.
Sprout On Demand previously premiered videos of Sprout-seen characters Bob the Builder and Angelina Ballerina.
