Smit, Anand Tapped For CTAM U Cable Show Luncheon

Comcast Cable president and CEO Neil Smit and Harvard Business School professor Bharat Anand will be the focus of this year's CTAM U luncheon at The Cable Show in Boston on May 22.

The luncheon, entitled "Leading Change at Comcast: A Conversation with Neil Smit," will be held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Program alumni, and others interested in understanding more about Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School, or hearing Anand and Smit, may register at www.hbsprogram.com.

CTAM U, also known as Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School, is a world-class management development experience for high-potential cable and media executives in an elite business school environment. Since its inception, more than 900 high-performing cable and media professionals have attended CTAM U.

Smit, who joined Comcast in 2010 after about five years as CEO of Charter Communications, will speak about how the country's largest MSO is successfully competing within a changing ecosystem of non-traditional distributors and content providers while driving fundamental change and transforming Comcast's go-to-market strategy.

Anand, the Henry R. Byers Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, has taught in every Cable Executive Management class since its inception at HBS, and draws from his media and entertainment experience to explore how Comcast has reprioritized to improve customer service, introduce new technologies to advance operations, and reorient the entire company toward rolling out a new product every quarter.

John Lansing, president, Scripps Networks Interactive and chair, CTAM Educational Foundation, will host the luncheon.
