Dish Network announced that its virtual MVPD, Sling TV, is now available on Google Nest Hub and Google Nest Hub Max.
The Google Nest Hub devices include built-in displaces and integrated Google Assistant voice control.
Sling TV subscribers can now watch channels provided by the live streaming service directly on Google Nest Hub devices, controlling the platform with voice commands such as, “Hey Google, watch HGTV on Sling.” Sling TV customers can also control the cloud DVR via Google Assistant.
In addition to watching Sling TV on the 7-inch native display of the $129 Google Nest Hub, or the 10-inch display of the $229 Google Nest Hub Max, users can also port the vMVPD to their TVs using Google Chromecast.
Dish is also offering Google Nest Hub users a three-day Sling TV free trial.
With Google Nest Hub in the fold, Dish said its vMVPD is now available on more than 20 device ecosystems, including smart TVs, tablets, game consoles, computers, smartphones, VR headsets and other streaming devices.
Sling TV added 214,000 users in the third quarter, but it slipped narrowly behind the surging Hulu Live TV in terms of customer base size. The latter now has 2.7 million users, according to MoffettNathanson analyst Craig Moffett.
