Sinclair, Suddenlink Agree to Extension

Two Sinclair Broadcast Group stations will remain on Suddenlink Communications’ systems until midnight Aug. 7 following an extension agreement between the two parties, AP reported.

Suddenlink said in late June that it would remove ABC affiliate WCHS-TV and Fox affiliate WVAH-TV from systems it purchased from Charter Communications in the Charleston, Beckley and Parkersburg areas of West Virginia (www.multichannel.com/article/CA6350010.html?display=Breaking+News).

"We have reached an agreement in principle with Sinclair, and they have, in turn, granted us the right to continue carriage of their stations until midnight Aug. 7," Suddenlink spokesman Michael Kelemen told AP.
