Showtime Lines Up 'Shameless' Marathon On Saturday

Shameless is Showtime's top drama with the Nielsens four episodes in. Now, the premium network will give viewers a chance to check the installments again.
Showtime will run a marathon of the first four episodes of Shameless, starring William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum and Joan Cusack, starting at 5 p.m. on Feb. 5.
The marathon will give viewers an opportunity to enjoy the season from the beginning and experience the wild antics of the Gallagher clan.
The original series' fourth installment on Jan. 30 averaged 1.11 million in its 10 p.m. premiere window, its strongest performance to date. The encore followed with 345,000 in the hour immediately after, according to Nielsen data.
Sunday night's premiere helped make Shameless  the premium network's top-performing freshman series ever, including such shows as Dexter, Dead Like Me, The Tudors and The L Word, in the 10 p.m. hour, according to network officials.

New episodes of Shameless air Sundays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), following Episodes and Californication.
