Shaw Picks Telution; Rogers Goes 5 Mbps

Shaw Communications Inc. signed a deal to use Telution Inc.'s “COMX” order-management system, while Rogers Communications Inc. announced that it is increasing the download speed for its cable-modem service to 5 megabits per second.
Shaw will use Telution's COMX suite of products for voice-service order management, as well as its service-assurance software products.
Rogers said that as part of its high-speed upgrade, upload speeds will be increased to 800 kilobits per second. Rogers charges $44.95 per month for its 5-mbps Internet service.
