Canadian cable operator Shaw Communications Thursday announced Shaw High-Speed Nitro Internet, which provides up to 25 megabits per second downstream but only 1 mbps upstream -- making it the fastest Net service in the country, the company claimed.
The Calgary-based operator said Nitro will be available starting Nov. 15 in the Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Victoria markets. It will be priced at $99.95 Canadian (about $88 U.S.) per month with the purchase of a cable modem.
