Service Electric Broadband Cable Adds Big Ten Network

Big Ten Network continued its push into Pennsylvania, with rollouts on Service Electric Broadband Cable.
The parties reached a distribution deal, terms of which were not disclosed, that will see the operator launch the sports services to its customers in Wilkes-Barre, and in Schuylkill County on Sept. 4.
In both cases, Service Electric Broadband Cable will launch BTN on channel 38, and also make it available in high-definition on channel 538.
Tomorrow's launch will give Service Electric Broadband subscribers the opportunity to see Penn State's 2009 college football opener against Akron on Saturday, Sept. 5.

BTN has also launched on other Keystone State operators, Service Electric Cablevision, Kuhn Communications and Atlantic Broadband, this week.
