Rentrak Corp. has expanded its relationship with Music Choice and is now supplying measurement services for the programmer's interactive music network, SWRV.
A long-time client of Rentrak's OnDemand Essentials, Music Choice is now subscribing to a limited subscription of Rentrak's TV Essentials service to better understand viewing behavior and facilitate distribution of SWRV, which launched in 2010. Deal terms were not disclosed.
Rentrak is also continuing to serve Music Choice's 46 linear channels.
TV Essentials is Rentrak's census-based television ratings measurement service that provides daily measurement of all TV networks nationally and at a granular level for TV stations in all 210 media markets nationwide. The service incorporates information from over 19 million televisions and is the only fully integrated system of detailed satellite, telco and cable TV viewing data commercially available.
"Despite being in markets for a short time, engagement with SWRV has resonated with consumers. We are excited to have another way to illustrate its successes to our affiliate partners and advertisers," said Music Choice COO Christina Tancredi in a statement.
