Reelz Channel Scores Suddenlink Carriage Pact

Reelz Channel has inked a distribution accord with Suddenlink Communications.

The movie proponent will gain its first berth with the cable operator via its system serving Clovis, N.M.

Deal terms were not disclosed.

"We're excited to be a part of the Suddenlink television lineup and very happy that Clovis, New Mexico will be the first system to launch with us," said John de Garmo, Reelz Channel senior vice president of affiliate relations and International, in a statement. "Going forward, we will be diligent with launching Reelz Channel on more Suddenlink systems to reach their 1.3 million plus customers throughout the United States."

Reelz, which presents a wide array of  movie-based programming that includes Hollywood Dailies and Leonard Maltin's Secret's Out, currently reaches some 47 million homes via deals with cable operators, as well as DirecTV and Dish Network.
