Raven Rules Disney Channel

If any doubt remained about Disney Channel’s top original series, the debate ended July 29.

That’s when an episode of That’s So Raven became the service’s highest-rated original series ever across a couple of key metrics.

The “Country Cousins” installment of Raven notched a 3.6 household rating (3.1 million) and a 14.8 mark against girls 6-11 (1.4 million of those watchers), according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Those performances bested the 3.1 household rating registered by the March 8 episode of Lizzie McGuire and a 13.6 mark against the aforementioned demo recorded by the Hillary Duff vehicle Feb. 7, 2003.

The Country Cousins installment -- in which star Raven plays three additional characters, each a Baxter-family relative from the family’s country farm -- also scored a Disney Channel original-show high among tween girls (14.7 rating/1.4 million).

And the episode garnered a 10.0 rating among kids 6-11 and a 9.6 among tweens 9-14.
