MTV and AOL veteran Robert Pittman joined the board of directors of Spot Runner, a Los Angeles-based firm that offers Internet-based advertising-creation and media-buying services to local businesses.
Nick Grouf, chairman and CEO of Spot Runner, said Pittman's "revolutionary approach" to marketing and his branding insight "make him an invaluable member of our team."
Pittman has been CEO of MTV, chief operating officer of AOL and a founding member of investment firm The Pilot Group.
Spot Runner launched earlier this year to offer "self-serve," low-cost advertising solutions to attract new broadcast and cable advertisers, gaining as clients Century 21 Real Estate, Coldwell Banker Real Estate and other businesses.
The company plans to extend its target to additional media platforms so that clients can use Spot Runner for all of their advertising needs.
