Oxygen To Offer Clips On YouTube

Oxygen Monday said it will make original content available to user-generated web-site YouTube as part of an overall Oxygen-branded channel.

The women’s network said its YouTube Oxygen Channel – which launched on Sept. 17 -- will be frequently refreshed with new programming and will include clips from popular Oxygen shows such as Tori & Dean: Inn Love, The Bad Girls Club, Mo’Nique’s F.A.T, Chance, and Snapped, as well as outtakes and never-before-seen footage, according to network executives.

“Working with YouTube is part of Oxygen’s overall strategy to reach our audience on every platform that’s available to women,” said Mary Murano, president of distribution at Oxygen, in a prepared statement. “YouTube is extremely popular and this is a great way for Oxygen to maximize their popularity and gain a new audience as well.”

Along with youtube, Oxygen features long-form programming of the aforementioned shows as well as original series The Fight Girls and Bad Girls Road Trip on its yahoo channel (http://video.yahoo.com/video/profile?sid=1031856).
