ONE World Sports Adds Distribution SVPs

ONE World Sports said it has added a pair of veteran distribution executives at the senior vice president level as the network has added to its roster of affiliates.

Kristin McNeill and Mark Romano have come on board as SVPs of Western and Eastern divisions, respectively, reporting to executive vice president of distribution Randy Brown.

McNeil, based in Los Angeles, joins from Tribune Co., where she was VP of affiliate sales, Western Region, for WGN America and Tribune's Broadcast Television Group. She negotiated distribution rights for WGN America as well as retransmission consent for 42 broadcast television stations. She has more than 15 years of cable network experience, before Tribune with E! Networks and Fox Cable Networks.

Romano, based in New York, worked for seven years as VP of  distribution sales and marketing at Outdoor Channel, which was Brown's shop until this past January. In two decades of cable-network distribution experience, he helped launch new networks including FX Networks, CBS College Sports Television and the VOD network Mag Rack.

"Both Kristen and Mark are well regarded by their customers and colleagues," Brown said in a release. "I know they will both be wonderful additions to the ONE World Sports team as we identify and pursue subscriber growth opportunities."

The international sports network said it has recently added Verizon FiOS, Google Fiber and Hawaiian Telecom to an existing base of Cablevision Systems' Optimum TV, Dish Network and Mediacom Communications.
