One, Two, Three: Disney Channel Does Digital Dance For New Series

Disney Channel will put its best feet forward with advanced media stepping in support of the launch of its new buddy comedy, Shake It Up.
The series stars 13-year-old Bella Thorne and 14-year-old Zendaya as best friends CeCe and Rocky, whose dreams of becoming professional dancers are realized when they land roles as background dancers on the most popular teen dance show, "Shake It Up, Chicago!"
From veteran producers Chris Thompson (Laverne & Shirley, Bosom Buddies) and Rob Lotterstein (The War At Home, Ellen), the dance-driven series is set to make its linear bow on Sunday Nov. 7 at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Before that, DisneyChannel.com on Oct. 15 will unveil a dance-themed game and a BFF quiz, with new features launching every subsequent Friday until the series premiere.

On Halloween, a full installment preview will be accessible on Disney Channel subscription video on demand platforms.
The premiere will be simulcast on Sprint TV, MobiTV and Flo TV, while a free download of the debut installment will be available the following day on iTunes.
Disney Channel will flank the linear launch day with appearances by the cast, who will take viewers behind-the-scenes on the set to introduce the characters and see the dance moves as they're choreographed.
During the show, best friends CeCe and Rocky pop, lock and learn the challenging contemporary moves for each week's dance show. While reveling in their newfound status, they also quickly learn they'll need more than fancy footwork to match wits with the show's other dancers, notably competitive siblings Gunther and Tinka. At the same time, with their best friend Deuce and Rocky's brother Ty, they also must navigate the complexities of a big city high school, plus family life in The Windy City, including their obligation to babysit CeCe's mischievous younger brother, Flynn.
